Bibliography of Desalination and Water ReuseWELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR INTEGRATED WATER RESEARCH'S BIBLIOGRPAHY OF DESALINATION AND REUSE This Bibliography is a comprehensive database of scientific literature pertaining to desalination and water reuse worldwide. The current version contains 1300 entries, and we anticipate updating the database on a regular basis. Abstracts are searched and displayed where available. Each entry has been assigned subject keywords. Use these terms and other search tips for more effective use of the database. This is a valuable resource for the academic community, policymakers, and individuals interested in the field of treatment of impaired water for beneficial use and reuse. It contains information about scientific studies and practitioner experience with water resources development. We look forward to feedback from you on format, ease of use, and additional sources we should include. Please contact us with any comments through our contact page. Suggestions for additional references are most welcome. ABOUT THE PROJECT The Bibliography of Desalination and Water Reuse is produced and maintained by the Center for Integrated Water Research at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Funding for the project was provided by the California Department of Water Resources and the WateReuse Foundation. Brent Haddad, Director of the Center for Integrated Water Research, developed keywords to search for the data acquisition and supervised the project. Erin Elliott, Angela Rossi and Rita McCue, UCSC Information Technology staff provided database programming wizardry, web design, and technical assistance. Catherine Borrowman, Academic Coordinator of the Center for Integrated Water Research, provided overall project management working with web experts to develop the bibliography website. Holly Alpert, Doctoral Candidate developed the criteria for inclusion and exclusion, keyword choices, performed data entry, and set a standard for quality control among entries. The creators wish to thank Linda Vida, head of the Water Resources Center Archives, for directing the substantial data acquisition accomplished at UC Berkeley in the Winter and Spring quarters of 2006. All errors and omissions are the responsibility of the Center for Integrated Water Research and we appreciate any suggestions for additions and improvements. |
